Parna Sarkar-Basu has been recognized as one of 43 elite entrepreneurs worldwide for her tireless efforts to support and nurture women in technology and amplify the voices of underrepresented entrepreneurs and students. She has dedicated her career to guiding founders through pivotal moments and helping for-profit and non-profit organizations transform, grow, and scale, while making a meaningful impact on society and the environment.
Parna’s commitment to mentorship and community engagement, despite her busy schedule, has earned her a coveted spot in That Impact Book – a showcase of inspirational entrepreneurs whose contributions are shaping industries and uplifting communities worldwide. The book launch is scheduled for the end of March in New York’s Times Square.
“I feel privileged to work with innovators and entrepreneurs, helping them navigate challenges and build successful businesses,” said Sarkar-Basu, founder of B&B Consulting. “Leveraging my expertise and network to bring as many women as possible along on this journey, while also opening doors for young innovators and students is incredibly rewarding.”
A resident of Westwood, Parna believes in giving back to her community and the global innovation ecosystem. Previously, she helped create STEM programs for Westwood Schools and served on various boards, including the Westwood Economic Development Advisory Board and the Foundation for Westwood Education. Today, she continues to serve on startup and non-profit boards and contributes to programs that drive innovation and STEM education to foster the next generation of innovators and professionals.
“We live in a time when impactful leadership is more important than ever,” said Shar Moore, founder of the Feminessence Movement and publisher of That Impact Book. “This book is more than just a showcase, it’s a movement.”
